  .....AND EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE

  We all know the old saying about "A place for everything and everything in its place." Unfortunately, too often "everything" does not stay in its proper place. Straps slip, necklines gap, collars turn up, all manner of unsightly occurrences. Cannot believe it's taken me this long to discover these handy, can't-do-without fashion tapes. They come in a neat small tin in individual papers; just apply, press, and you're set to go.   Amazing stuff

  I'm an avid salsa dancer at a local club and was looking for some way to keep up a cute red strapless dress so I wouldn't have to worry about it falling while I was dancing. There isn't much time to really..."correct" your dress while dancing without looking awkward, so I needed something that would really do the job.I looked around at various ways to keep something in check, from pinning the dress to a bra (which wouldn't really help in my case), to other random fixes. When I found these, there seemed to be nothing but praise for them, so I decided to give it a shot. And I am incredibly happy I did.The tape itself came right on time, and I decided to take it for a test drive the next time I went dancing. I put the tape on the inside of my bra around the strap itself and in the cup to make sure that stayed in place, and then put multiple tape pieces between the bra and dress and a few directly on my skin.   Love this! Great for keeping clothing attached to skin, or clothing to clothing. Can hold a stubborn collar down how you want it or keep a capped sleeve from falling off your shoulder.   wedding-saver!

  This tape held up my very heavy beaded dress comfortably for my wedding! It only slipped after more than 7 hours of use! We could have put new tape on, but I was about to change anyway. It didn't hurt the material and it stuck well to my skin. The only thing that was a bummer is that it left a red chaffing mark on my chest, and when I switched into my going away dress the mark was visible. However - it was after dark, so I wasn't too worried about it. I was just so thankful that my dress stayed in place for that long!   Not so sticky

  I was disappointed after trying this product, based on the glowing reviews. I needed to keep a formal dress in place, but the tape did not work for me. Perhaps it had to do with the inner lining of the dress. It was a BCBG dress, very constructed bodice, with an inner lining made of an almost mesh fabric. The tape did not stick at all. Perhaps I can use it in the future to try with a garment that has a more fluid fabric. It was a mess with the dress.   Finally we can have with a very affordable price the secrets to keep you clothe hidden on in it's place. Even tough it has 36 strips each strip can be used in 2 different place at least if you cut in half so it can turn to 52 strips.   Could be a little stickier, but otherwise works well. My chest is too large to go with a strapless bra (trust me, I've tried everything), so with strapless tops a shrug or bolero is a necessity.   I honestly believe that either the previous reviewers are family members of mr. nevaer or they didn't read beyond the jacket flap copy.I did. mr. nevaer essentially attributes gap's challengesto gay people. I'm not kidding. with prose pearls such as "flaming queens" and "twinkies", he makes some of the most preposterous claims ever to be found in an allegedly serious business publication. not to mention usingsome of the most offensive language and thinking to be foundin anything published since 1957.the great majority of quotes from his anonymous sources ring incredibly false -- people don't talk like he writes -- and his theses are largely presented without support other than... um... that's what he thinks. mr. nevaer is, of course, free to hold whatever prejudiceshe likes. you, however, shouldn't pay to endorse them.and you can find much more serious and balanced considerationof the gap and its recent stumbles elsewhere. 1/5 hipturn "hipturn" (Augusta, GA United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: Into--and Out of--The GAP: A Cautionary Account of an American Retailer (Hardcover) The book meanders incomprehensibly. Anecdotal tales of homophobia, antisemitism, racism, and colonisation randomly appear and mostly do nothing to undergird the theme of the work - which Nevaer unmercifully pounds into your head on every single page ad nauseum: the Gap mis-managed the coming of age of "generation y" (whatever that is) and this strategic blunder coupled with cannibalisation of itself with its subsidiary, old Navy, spells certain disaster for the retailing behemoth.   She would be proud!

  This book made me remember what [was] explained to me once years back. That fashion reflects society's mindset. This book does a brilliant job telling the business story of the Gap while helping explaining what was going on in American society at the same time. When we become used to something, we forget what it was like without it: before ATMs were introduced in the mid-1980s, we had to think about how much cash we'd need for that week, then go to the bank and cash a check. It seems so archaic now the ubiquitous nature of ATMs. But the changes that the Gap wrought -- music in the stores, being able to help yourself (and not having a sales clerk show items behind cases), and incorporating elements of pop culture's sensibilities revolutionized merchandising. How ATMs changed the way we bank, the Gap changed the way we shop ... and this book is the authoritative business story of that seismic mindset in American retail. 5/5 0, May 30, 2002
